How To Pack Lightly

Although some more than others, I’m sure we all have an overweight fee horror story!

Here are a few tips on how to pack as light as possible.

Make A List

It may be obvious to some but worth repeating: lists save lives. Take some time to conceptualize what your trip will involve — is it a busy trip or a beach vacation?

Then map out what you anticipate your day to day to be like and create your list accordingly.

That way, when you’re packing you’ll be less inclined to grab randoms. If it’s not on the list, “leff it out.”

Pack By Outfit

Deciding which of your clothes to bring is always super difficult. I get it — you want to look good on your trip and you want to have as many options available to you as possible.

But unless you want to pay to carry your whole closet, try packing your clothes against each other. Aim to have less “stand-alone” pieces and more articles of clothing that can go with multiple fits.

Avoid Heavy Devices

You don’t need your laptop AND tablet on vacation, I promise. Keep the number of devices that you pack at a minimum. If not just to avoid overpacking, use this as an opportunity to disconnect and enjoy all your destination has to offer (Netflix can wait).
